What is an energy certificate?

An energy performance certificate (EPC) is a document containing information on the energy performance of a building, with recommendations for improving energy efficiency. Its primary purpose is to provide information on the energy consumption of a building and on measures to improve energy efficiency.

When is it mandatory?

EI must ensure building owners or individual parts of buildings that are constructed, sold or leased to a tenant who did not have a registered permanent or temporary residence prior to the lease. Owner must the buyer or tenant to submit EI of the building or its individual part no later than before the conclusion of the purchase contract.

Cost for making EPC?

The cost of making an Energy performance certificate must be paid by the owner(s) of the building. The cost can be covered by the reserve fund as a regular management cost.
