SMART-MED-PARKS
Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Technology Parks of the Med Area through Intelligent Models and Uses (MED Program – 2013-2015).
SMART-MED-PARKS is a pilot project funded in the framework of MED program aiming at increasing the energy efficiency in science and technological parks (STPs) contributing to the creation of a self-sufficient generation and consumption energy model by means of the deployment of Smart Grid. The model, tested in five Science and Technological Parks in Spain, Italy, France and Portugal, will foster the energy efficiency and renewable energy integration as a key factor for the competitiveness and sustainability of the current economic and social model in Parks of the Med Area. The role of LEASP in the project is to energy audit the Technology Park Ljubljana, assistance in development of a catalog of technologies for local power plants and integration with existing energy networks, assistance in transforming conventional Technology Parks into Smart technology parks.
