Public call for proposals for the selection of municipalities/cities in the Pomurje and Podravje regions and in Međimurje and Varaždin counties for the purpose of preparing and designing a project application for the prevention and elimination of energy poverty

Međimurje Energy Agency Ltd. (MENEA) (lead partner) together with the Regional Energy Agency North (REAS), the Local Energy Agency Spodnje Podravje (LEASP) and the Local Energy Agency for Pomurje (LEAP) within the framework of I-PRODER project – Challenges for preventing and eliminating energy poverty publishes:

PUBLIC CALL
for selection municipalities/cities in the Pomurje and Podravje regions and in Međimurje and Varaždin counties with the aim of preparing and designing a project application for the prevention and elimination of energy poverty

Subject of the call

The subject of this call is the collection of applications from municipalities/cities from the Međimurje and Varaždin counties (HR) and the Pomurje and Podravje regions (SI) with the aim of their inclusion in testing the technical assistance model for preparing interventions in the field of addressing energy poverty, within which they will two selected subjects (municipalities/cities) prepared and developed a project application with measures and solutions for the prevention and elimination of energy poverty for one of the relevant existing or future calls for project applications.

Eligible applicants

Eligible applicants are local government units (city and municipal administrations) from the Međimurje and Varaždin counties (HR) and municipalities in the Pomurje and Podravje regions (SI) that are interested in solving the issue of energy poverty at the local level.

Required documentation

• a fully completed and certified application form – Annex I (required)
• signed Declaration of the applicant – Annex II (required)
• additional documentation attached (optional, but affects the evaluation of the application):
• attached documents and/or available links to relevant strategic and planning documents (strategy/program/development plan, LEK, social plan, etc.) at the municipal level related to energy poverty;
• links to relevant projects at the municipal level that address the problem of energy poverty;
• documents proving accession to the Covenant of Mayors – Europe (signed declaration of accession, official decisions of the municipal council or SECAP/SEAP).

Applications that will not contain mandatory documentation (Annex I and Annex II), will not be included into the further selection process.

Application deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is July 7, 2025 until 11:59 p.m. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. Any applications received after this deadline will not be included in the further selection process.

The application must be submitted electronically via email, with the subject line of the message being: "I-PRODER Project – Public Call for Selection of Municipalities".
