Presentation of the JETforCE project
The European Union, in line with the European Green Deal, has set itself the goal of decarbonising its economy by 2050 due to the urgent need to mitigate and adapt to climate change. This energy transition must be fair and equitable in Europe. Ideally, future energy policies and investments should be shaped together with citizens. Citizens must be able to contribute to measures that affect their lives, work and opportunities, which requires knowledge, understanding and equal access to relevant digital technology.
The recently approved JETforCE (Just Energy Transition for Central Europe) project under the Interreg Central Europe programme therefore supports regions in better digital inclusion of their citizens. Using digitalisation as a means to co-design and implement a “Just Energy Transition in Central Europe”, the JETforCE project is testing and validating two innovative solutions for the digital inclusion of citizens in policy-making over three years and evaluating technologies used for inclusion using a Just Transition perspective. The JETforCE project falls under the priority “Cooperation for a Green Central Europe” and has a budget of €2.37 million, with €801.3 million provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Project duration: 1.4.2023-31.3.2026
Total project budget: €2,367,454.60, of which €1,893,963.84 is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
LEA Spodnje Podravje funds: €161,700.00 ERDF
