EUpeR
With energy efficiency against energy poverty (OP SI HR – 2013-2015).
The overall objective of the EUpeR project is to contribute to the reduction of energy poverty in Slovenia and Croatia through practical and structural solutions, while improving the health and well-being of people with such problems. The project also aims to build understanding, communication and connections between different local actors who need to work together to eliminate energy poverty. By reducing energy poverty, which means increased efficient energy use, we will consequently contribute to reducing environmental pollution in the cross-border area.
Specific cross-border objectives:
- Analysis of existing programs to increase energy efficiency and adapt to poor households.
- Training target groups – with knowledge and skills to implement practical measures for efficient energy use in households.
- Identifying the most common causes of energy inefficiency in households.
- Implement practical measures and inform poorer households
- Defining the threshold for eligibility for assistance for poorer households – selection of buildings/households to which assistance in the form of energy saving advice will be provided.
- Project partners will make joint recommendations (leaflet and manual) for improving energy efficiency, which will be presented to interested stakeholders (Center for Social Work, Red Cross, Caritas, local actors), who will be able to actively help the poorest after the end of the project.
- Coordinate key stakeholders in a joint effort to design long-term solutions and networks for the delivery of long-term services.
