The huge number of SMEs operating across the EU means that a change in their energy behavior is an essential part of the shift to a low carbon economy. The specific target of SME POWER are non-energy intensive SMEs: a silent majority that does not yet recognize the benefits of committing to this shift.<\/p>\n<p>SME POWER will work on 3 main drivers for change:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 improvement of energy conditions in SMEs&#039; buildings and processes<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 development of more energy efficient products<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 investment in capacity building for workers.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to good practice exchange at interregional level, SME POWER will develop Action Plans to improve 5 ERDF and 1 national policy instruments.<\/p>\n<p>SME POWER will help to achieve reduced emissions and increased use of renewables in non-energy intensive SMEs. SME POWER places itself at the center of a shift from support to low carbon public sector towards the private sector.<\/p>\n<p>SME POWER groups 7 policy partners, improving 5 ERDF and 1 national policy instruments and it welcomes 1 Advisory Partner.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the design and implementation of an&nbsp;<span class=\"tev-glossary-highlighted\" title=\"\" data-toggle=\"popover\" data-content=\"An action plan is a document providing details on how the lessons learnt from the cooperation will be implemented in order to improve the policy instrument tackled within a given region. The document specifies the nature of the actions to be implemented, their time frame, the players involved, the costs (if any) and funding sources (if any).\" data-original-title=\"Action Plan\">Action Plan<\/span>&nbsp;for policy improvement, SME POWER achieves reduced emissions and increased use of renewables in non-energy intensive SMEs. SME POWER places itself at the center of a shift from support to low carbon public sector towards the private sector.
