The purpose of the public tender is to increase the production of electricity and heat from renewable energy sources (RES) and waste heat in the Republic of Slovenia. The aim of the public tender is to increase the share of RES in existing district heating systems, to build new ones or expand existing district heating systems based on RES, and to contribute to reducing the use of fossil fuels, including natural gas. The subject of the public tender is the allocation of grants to co-finance operations for the installation of heat generators that use renewable energy sources, waste heat or a combination of both and increase the share of renewable energy sources in district heating systems, namely: – heat pumps, – solar collectors for heat production and wood biomass boilers, – construction of plants for the co-generation of heat and electricity from renewable energy sources in existing district heating systems, and – operations for the construction of new ones or the expansion of existing district heating systems based on renewable energy sources, waste heat or a combination of both.

The subject of the public call is non-refundable financial incentives to legal entities for investments in the purchase and installation of new electricity storage systems (HHE), which were purchased, installed and connected to the electricity grid from 1 January 2025 onwards and before the application was submitted. The amount of the non-refundable financial incentive is limited to a maximum of 45 % of recognized eligible investment costs, but not more than 225 EUR/kWh of electricity storage capacity. Investors can submit an application for the allocation of funds via the Borzen online application from 22 July 2025 onwards from 10 a.m. until the date of publication of the conclusion of the public call in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia.

The subject of the public tender is the allocation of grants to co-finance investments in community self-supply of electricity from renewable energy sources, whose total nominal power of installed photovoltaic modules is at least 100 kilowatts, in combination with or without battery storage of electricity, whereby at least 80 percent of household consumers must be included in the RES SSO. Investments in RES SSO will be supported within the framework of the public tender.
