The project aims to develop and deliver an improved toolkit to facilitate the planning and implementation of local energy initiatives. This toolkit will be refined based on the findings of the COMPOSE, PRISMI and LOCAL4GREEN projects. In addition, the project will establish a training programme to familiarise new local authorities with this innovative toolkit.
In addition, the project will support key stakeholders such as regional authorities, municipal associations and energy agencies in integrating this new toolkit into their local government support services. This engagement with stakeholders is a central aspect of the project methodology and will be closely aligned with the Thematic Community Project (TCP).
The project will also develop policy recommendations to help improve local strategies for the transition to sustainable energy. These recommendations will be developed in close collaboration with decision-makers, with the support of TCP and the Institutional Dialogue Project (IDP).
